2. julij 2009 ob 0:08 | Denis Sarkić |Policija je tudi v letošnji turistični sezoni pripravila vrsto aktivnosti, katerih cilj je zmanjšanje prometnih nesreč in izboljšanja stanja prometne varnosti na slovenskih cestah. Podatki kažejo, da se je stanje prometne varnosti v poletnih mesecih poslabšalo, je dejal Matjaž Leskovar, višji policijski inšpektor prometne policije GPU. Ob tem je Matjaž Leskovar z Generalne policijske uprave (GPU) navedel tudi nekaj statističnih podatkov. Dejal je, da je v treh poletnih mesecih (od začetka junija do konca avgusta) lanskega leta na slovenskih cestah umrlo 63 udeležencev, kar je znatno manj kot v primerjavi z letom 2007, ko sta na naših cestah umrla 102 udeleženca.
“Zato bodo ukrepi policije v času turistične sezone usmerjeni predvsem v odkrivanje kršiteljev cestnoprometnih predpisov (CPP). Namreč, izkazalo se je, da so najpogostejši vzroki še vedno neprilagojena hitrost, smer vožnje in nepravilni premiki z vozilom, kot vzrok se pojavlja tudi alkohol,” je poudaril Leskovar. Opozoril je, da se je leta 2008 v prometnih nesrečah, kjer so udeleženci umrli, alkohol pojavil pri tretjini nesreč. Zato so ukrepi policije usmerjeni v odkrivanje kršiteljev CPP, predvsem prehitre vožnje, vožnje pod vplivom alkohola, mamil ali drugih psihoaktivnih snovi. Policijski inšpektor Leskovar je povedal, da bo tako policija na cestah predvsem merila hitrost, kjer so najpogostejše kršitve oziroma kjer so prometne nesreče najpogostejše in kjer je za pričakovati večje število prometnih prekrškov. Ker v teh dneh na več odsekih avtocestnega križa potekajo obnovitvena dela, zaradi katerih prihaja do občasnih prometnih zastojev in daljših kolon vozil, policija svetuje potrpežljivost in čakanje, dokler se promet ne razredči.
Tam, kjer bodo dela na cesti in kjer se pričakuje zgoščen promet, pa bo policija po njegovih besedah poskušala “z ustreznim ukrepanjem zoper kršitelje CPP te tudi kaznovati”. Ob tem je Matjaž Leskovar udeležence v cestnem prometu pozval k strpni vožnji, upoštevanju CPP, najsi bo to hitrost, upoštevanje prometne signalizacije ali “sistema zadrge”. “Na slovenskih cestah danes lahko vidimo dokaj nizko kulturo voznikov, ki ne upoštevajo prometne signalizacije, ki predvsem prepoveduje prehitevanje na avtocestah, kjer se pasovi zožijo oziroma se zaključijo. Zoper takšne voznike bomo ukrepali,” je opozoril. Voznike pa je pozval, naj se na dolgo vožnjo odpravijo v dobrem fizičnem stanju, naj ne pijejo alkohola, naj pred vožnjo preverijo brezhibnost vozila, obvezno opremo pa naj imajo na vidnem mestu, da jo lahko uporabijo. Vse voznike v cestnem prometu pa je pozval, naj “bodo strpni in naj se zavedajo, da niso sami”. Le tako ob upoštevanju CPP in zmernosti bomo lahko izboljšali prometno varnost, je prepričan Leskovar.

No te navadni smrtnike ne smemo, lahko jo samo policisti, zato da zaščitijo druge udeležence v prometu. To pomeni, da če voziš prehitro lahko tudi koga zaščitiš??
No to je že filozofsko vprašanje :) Mogoče samo nasvet. Če hočete zakonito “divjati” po cestah se izšolajte za policista.
