Avtorju in junaku je skupna fascinacija nad hollywoodskimi filmi, zato ni čudno, da Bernhard Schlink (avtor knjige Der Vorleser), kljub temu da se je za njegov scenarij potegovalo kar nekaj uglednih evropskih studiev, ni nikoli resno pomislil na to možnost. Prepričan je namreč, da je snemanje filmov hollywoodska domena in da tam to preprosto znajo in zmorejo. “Režiser mora imeti možnost, da ponovi prizor tolikokrat, kot se mu zdi potrebno,” meni Schlink, “in to si lahko privoščijo samo v Hollywoodu.” (- iz spremne besede tudi prevajalke Sandre Baumgartner)
Verjetno Bernhard Schlink ni imel v mislih časovne omejitve, ker so časovno omejeni tudi Hollywoodčani razen nekaterih, kot ni poznal časovnih omejitev Stanley Kubrick (zmeraj pa se je držal finančnih), a Kubrick sploh ni bil Hollywoodčan, le fino se je pogodil s kalifornijskim studiem Warner Bros., filmal pa je dejansko v soseščini angleške domačije … Vendar kaj je zdaj to, odstavek o Kubricku? Čas je skratka ironično vplival tudi na razprtije med producenti in režiserjem filma Bralec ter na zgodnji izid filma, da je tekmoval za letošnje oskarje. Chicago Tribune razmišlja: How Kate Winslet outdid herself.
Tri igralke so z ameriško akademijo posebej dobro uglašene: Katherine Hepburn, Meryl Streep in Kate Winslet so med letoma 1934–2009 dobile skupaj 33 nominacij in 7 oskarjev.
Meryl Streep je most med starejšo in mlajšo igralko: leta 1982 je bila nominirana z zmagovalno Hepburnovo, letos z zmagovalno Winsletovo. (- z bloga.vest.si/robert79; ali iz, iz bloga, to je vprašanje)
Naš distributer je premaknil premiero Bralca za teden dni s 5. marca, tako da je torej film na sporedu od 12. marca na Viču v Ljubljani. Pozneje bo igral še v Koloseju.

@silvestre: hm, preveril povezano datoteko prek brskalnika in iTunesov, čeprav gre za isto datoteko; včeraj sem nekaj zmešal s podcastom in sem video presnel z drugim, nisem pa osvežil feeda. Vendar meni nikdar ne zastoji. Morda napaka pri tvojem prenosu?

@silvestre: zdaj smo osvežili feed. (A meni je torej delalo že prej.) Lahko pobrišeš zadnji podcast v iTunesih, greš v iTunes Store, iščeš vest, izbereš Kinotožje in klikneš pri Kinotožju 055 — get episode, pa poveš, če ti še zmeraj zašteka.

Prebral sem knjigo pred kakimi 5-6 leti (in ne, ni me spodbudila Oprah), zdaj pa sem še pogledal film. Tako knjiga kot film sta super. Nekega nauka/poante sicer danes v filmu več ne vidim, vidim pa najprej oklevanje. Oklevanje mulca, da bi pomagal Hani. Spoznanje, da je njegova ljubezen omadeževana, ker je bila SS-ovka, ga ohromi, da ni zmožen ničesar. Tako stori prvo napako (?), ne poskuša jo prepričati, da prizna svojo sramoto, zaradi katere bi raje trpela do smrti. Drugo napako stori, ko kljub evidentni ljubezni tudi po 20 letih, ni sposoben priznati ljubezni. Zopet ga ustavi SS zgodovina in njena krivda v taboriščih smrti. Obe napaki imata za Hano grozljive posledice.
Drug točka filma, ki se mi je vtisnila v spomin, je sram. Hano je bilo tako sram priznati, da ne zna pisati, da je privč raje šla v Ss kot, da bi napredovala v Siemensu, drugič raje zbežala od svoje ljubezni(?) kot da bi napredovala v nemških železnicah. V knjigi je podobnih (hujših) primerov še nekaj. Sram se stopnuje do te mere, da gre raje v zapor in prizna genocid kot da bi priznala svojo napako.
Sram in oklevanje sta veliki človeški nevrlini, ki v nasprotju z junaki, pokažejo človeško šibkost. In prav tu je zame poanta filma. Oba “glavna junaka” sta bila anti junaka. To bralca/gledalca zmede ali pa mu da misliti. Ne identificira se z njima, ju pa razume, saj v poudarjenih napakah vidi svoje, ki niso nič manj pomembne.

@Jure, @Centrifuzija: zanimivo se mi zdi, da sta Simon in Garfunkel pripravila glasbo za Diplomiranca iz svojih novih komadov (npr. Mrs. Robinson) in starih (The Sounds of Silence). Ta ideja — da so bili v filmu še starejši hiti, ki so že imeli veliko oboževalcev — je bila odličen trnek in je verjetno vplivala na velik komercialni uspeh (s proračunom/zaslužkom 3/105 milijonov $, navaja Wikipedia) in vplivala je na soundtracke mnogih hollywoodskih filmov.
@Martin: ali je mali naredil napako, da ni poskušal med procesom prepričati Hane ali pa da ni morda kar grobo, javno razkrinkal njene pomanjkljivosti? Mislim, da ne. A ne gre tu celo za nasprotje napake, za rešitev filozofskega problema človeškega dostojanstva?
Podobno sem premišljeval, da ni pomembno, če rečeš njegovi končni hladnosti do Hane napaka. Ker njegov odnos NI — pravim, da ni niti malo — vplival na njeno odločitev, da …
Obojega nisem podrobneje razložil, ker imam v načrtu recenzijo in bom razložil tam.
Film po eni strani knjigi natančno sledi in ji je verodostojen, po drugi strani pa mi knjiga razjasnjuje nekatere meglene trenutke v filmu. Najbrž je imel režiser tudi kaj tega v mislih, ko je rekel, da bi bil film boljši, če bi lahko dlje delal z njim.
