Filmi v Trstu

Filmski festival v Trstu, katerega organizatorji si že belijo glave s prihodnjim, kajti mestne oblasti nimajo veliko posluha za njihovo dejavnost in jim že grozijo z odvzemom krasnega prizorišča z dvema dvoranama v kinu Cinema Excelsior.
Festival se je rodil leta 1989 iz pepela padlega berlinskega zidu, kot rada pove ena od organizatork Nicoletta Romeo, ki je v tistih časih program festivala spremljala kot gledalka.
Festival je izjemnega pomena za prostor centralne in vzhodne Evrope, kajti prikazani filmi prihajajo prav s tega področja.
Program festivala je bil razdeljen v tri tekmovalne sekcije; igrani, dokumentarni in kratki film. Slovenski film je bil zastopan s kratkim filmom Vem Jana Cvitkovića, ki pa je nastal v madžarski koprodukciji ter italijansko - slovenski Mostar United režiserke Claudie Tosi.
Festival je v spremljevalnem netekmovalnem programu ponudil retrospektivo filmov Walerian Borowczyk in sodobnega grškega filma, h kateremu se bodo vrnili tudi prihodnje leto.
Letos so organizatorji uvedli dve novosti; filmsko delavnico in projekcije filmov v kategoriji Walls of Sound - glasbeni dokumentarci, med katerimi sta se znašla tudi dva slovenska.

POVZETEK:
To je enkratna priložnost za filmofile, da si ogledajo filme, ki so v Italiji prikazani prvič. Navdušeni smo nad filmi vzhodne Evrope, ki nas vedno presenečajo s kvaliteto naracije, strukture, igralci … Veliko dobrih filmskih šol je v tem delu Evrope.
Precejšnjo spremembo smo doživeli v produkciji in promociji, kar pomeni, da so nam pred 10-imi leti ministrstva za zunanje zadeve pošiljala filme. Sedaj imamo opravka z zasebnimi podjetji. Svoje so dodale tudi koprodukcije. Precej teh so soustvariri nemški, angleški … producenti, ki dosegajo lepe prodajne dosežke. Naj izpostavim Kornéla Mundrucza, enega najboljših madžarskih avtorjev, Philippa Bobera … Ne prikazujemo filme povsem neznanih režiserjev, to so izvrstni in priznani režiserji, ki pa imajo še vedno težave s prodorom na italijansko tržišče.
Jan Cvitković je avtor, ki ga imamo radi in ga občudujemo. Poudaril, je da za ta film (Vem) ni dobil nikakršne finančne podpore s trani državnih institucij. Je povsem neodvisen filmar. Letos sicer nismo uvrstili nobenega slovenskega filma v tekmovalni program sekcije igranih filmov, kar pa se je znalo zgoditi v preteklih letih.
Letošnja »poslastica« je predstavitev grškega filma, Film z roba. Da bi podrli obstoječe klišeje, letos nismo izbrali filmov velikih režiserjev, kot je Angelopolous , Panayotopoulis ali Voulgaris, pač pa produkcijo zadnjih 10ih let. Ta mlajša generacija ima nove zanimive poglede na grško družbo, s katerimi uspešno rušijo predsodke do grškega filma. Močni so v pripovedovanju zgodbe, kot tudi pri izbiri tem. Niso več nostalgični, osredodočeni so na tukaj in zdaj. To so sodobne zgodbe, ki se ukvarjajo z nasiljem, ksenofobijo, nacionalizmom, temno platjo grške družbe. Ne vidimo torej mediteranske pokrajine, ki jo poljubljata sonce in morje, gre za precej več.

In poleg tega, tudi vsi govorniki imajo tudi zelo lepo, artikulativno izgovorjavo.
Še posebno pohvalno, ker večinoma imajo Italijani problem izgovorjave angleščine.
