Finci dobili gripo
12. maj 2009 ob 12:38 | Anja Grahek |Predstavnik finskega ministrstva za zdravje je potrdil prva dva primera okužbe z virusom A H1N1 v državi. Virus so odkrili pri dveh ljudeh, ki sta se nedavno vrnila s potovanja po Mehiki, poročajo tuje tiskovne agencije.
Finca sta se iz Mehike v domovino vrnila 6. maja. Eden od njiju je zbolel na letu domov, drugi pa nekaj dni po vrnitvi. Oba okrevata doma, njunih imen, starosti ali spola pa zdravstvene oblasti niso razkrile, poroča francoska tiskovna agencija AFP. Iz Tajske, kjer so v ponedeljek zvečer potrdili prvi primer okužbe z virusom nove gripe, medtem danes poročajo o že dveh primerih. Oba bolnika sta se z virusom okužila v Mehiki, po navedbah tajskega ministra za zdravje Wittaye Geowparadaija pa sta že okrevala, poroča nemška tiskovna agencija. Kot je sicer danes sporočila Svetovna zdravstvena organizacija (WHO), je število laboratorijsko potrjenih primerov okužbe z virusom prašičje gripe doseglo število 5251 v 30 državah po vsem svetu. Zaradi bolezni je umrlo 61 ljudi. O največjem številu okuženih poročajo iz ZDA, kjer so zabeležili 2600 primerov, vključno s tremi smrtnimi primeri. V Mehiki so medtem našteli 2059 primerov okužb, vključno s 56 smrtnimi primeri. Raziskava, ki je bila v ponedeljek objavljena v ameriškem znanstvenem tedniku Science, sicer ocenjuje, da je bilo samo v Mehiki do 23. aprila z virusom A H1N1 okuženih kar 23.000 ljudi. Raziskava poleg tega ocenjuje, da prašičja gripa ubije med 0.4 in 1.4 odstotka ljudi, ki se z njo okužijo, piše ameriška tiskovna agencija AP.
